Wild Nutrition: foraging & the human diet
Sunday, October 7, 2:00 - 5:00 pm
Our biology, in part, is designed to gather and eat wild plants which, in general, have a more complex phytochemistry than domesticated plants. Join us at Ardea for a stroll to discuss wild foods, foraging, and ancestral nutrition. We will briefly explore the distinctions between a modern lifestyle and an ancestral lifestyle, and how our current trajectory has set us up for the rise in modern degenerative diseases. And of course, we will look at and discuss edible wild plants, focusing on those rich in health-promoting phytochemistry, blurring the lines between food and medicine. Handouts will be given.
Individual class fee - $40
Late Summer/Fall Four Class Bundle - $120
Early Bird Discount for Four Class Bundle (ends July 31) - $80
