Foraging Fundamentals: a practice in plants and patterns
Sunday, May 20, 2:00 - 5:00 pm
This class will present select concepts and strategies that are fundamental to becoming an astute yet mindful forager. Aspects of the class will range from the technical and factual, to the perceptual and patterned.
Topics covered will include and are not limited to:
This class will be 3 hours in length, broken roughly in half by a short break. We will be on our feet for the majority of the time, moving through field and forest. In preparation, consider what you need to be comfortable outside, meandering through (mostly) untamed terrain.
The fee for this class is a suggested contribution on a sliding scale of $20 - $60 per person.
The sliding scale provides a range of acceptable payment, and as a concept is based on your ability to give financially. “Suggested contribution” implies that no one will be turned away for lack of money. Work trade & barter are options for those that have time or goods to offer.
